Here is a list of common FAQ’s. However if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact one of our helpful customer service advisors.

Do you have a showroom?

We no longer have a showroom due to the expense. We like to keep our overheads down so that our final cost to you remains low. As we deal with mostly trade, the showroom became an unjustifiable expense. If you want to see a showroom, please visit other showrooms and then come back to us for a comparative quote. You will see how much you can save!

How do I see the material?

You have two choices available, we can either send you samples or you can visit one of our wholesalers to see the full slabs.

Do the worktops need to be removed for templating?

Yes. The templater will need clear access to the base units. Please see our guide here for more information.

Do you remove the worktops and undertake the plumbing?

The short answer is no, we do not undertake any other trades work. Our time-served stonemasons, are experts in their own field of work.

What is the difference between Granite and Quartz?

The main differences which will affect a homeowner are… Granite is a natural stone, which means it has natural characteristics and is porous therefore it requires sealing every 6-12 months. Quartz is a man-made composite. It does not require sealing, which means less maintenance! Quartz is heat resistant however can burn under intense heat due to the resin additive in the Quartz Worktop. As quartz is man-made it comes in a variety of colours with sparkles, grains, shells and veins. Ultimately the choice comes down to colour, rather than material. Once you find the colour you love, it will not matter if it is a granite worktop or quartz worktop. Both worktop materials are extremely hard wearing and market leaders in comparison to other worktop materials.

How do I seal my granite worktop?

Sealing a granite worktop is much easier than it sounds! You do not need to employ a specialist to do this. It is a very simple process. Firstly, purchase a granite worktop sealant or care kit. (we supply granite care kits at an additional cost if required.) Then follow the instructions on the sealant. Usually sealant is applied, left to soak in, and then buffed off with a cloth. Leaving your worktops gleaming!

Do you use pre cut blanks or slabs?

Our worktops are bespoke and cut from slabs. This enables us to provide the best possible finish on your worktops. Using slabs ensures a batch match, we can also reduce the amount of joins. There is also more flexibility on sizing. Pre cut blanks come in generic sizes which do not suit all kitchens whereas slabs are usually approx 3m x 2m. The benefit of using Granite4You is that we can provide a bespoke service for the same price or less than some of the pre cut blank merchants. A premium product and service for less. There is no need to compromise with Granite4you!

My existing worktops are 40mm but your worktops are 30mm, what can I do?

100mm upstands or smaller (50mm) can be used to cover the gap at the rear. You can remove a row of tiles or they can be stuck on to existing tiles. However you may see a small gap from the side profile between the tile and worktop. Please ask your sales advisor to quote for these for you.

Where can I see your work?

Please check out our Facebook and Instagram for our latest work. We like to take photographs of our jobs and display them on our social media pages. There are also many past customers who follow us on social media and tag us in their completed pictures. So it is definitely worth a look!

Why are your prices so low?

Our prices are so low because we keep our overheads low. No fancy showrooms, no high paid commission driven sales representatives, no “free gifts” or sales gimmicks. Simply the lowest prices… initially! No building your price up to haggle it down. Just the best price for a quality product and installation. The majority of our customers are trade customers. Other granite companies referral companies(middlemen) that subcontract their work to us. So you may pay the higher price and still be choosing Granite4you.

Do you send sales reps out to measure and provide quotes?

We do not offer this service. This service would cause our prices to inflate astronomically to account for sending sales reps around the country. However we do send a representative to do a Digital Template once we have given you an initial estimation from your requirements. You can provide these via our online form or by email.

How to I book my dates in?

Ask your sales rep to send you a payment link to book your deposit in. You will then be given an estimated template date. We will aim to stick to this date however due to logistics occasionally it may be necessary to reschedule your date. If this is the case we will give you plenty of notice to reschedule.
